Gravity Forms Plugin Review

Gravity Forms is a premium plugin for form management. Essentially, it allows you to create forms and insert them in your pages, posts, or sidebar. You can have a variety of form fields, from text boxes to drop-downs to upload buttons. The results are stored in WordPress, and optionally mailed to you and/or the email address listed in the form.

We are pleased to include the Gravity Forms plugin on our platform, at no additional cost. Normally, it costs $39/year to use this plugin on one website, but our developer license allows us to provide this to all of our customers.

Why Is Gravity Forms Better than Similar Plugins?

There are many other free form management plugins, such as Contact Form 7. While many of these plugins are very good, especially for a free product, they are not nearly as complete, user-friendly, or feature-rich as Gravity Forms. For example, Contact Form 7 requires some coding if you are not using the standard form that is provided.

Just as with premium themes such as StudioPress, some premium plugins such as Gravity Forms provide far more value in saving time and frustration than they cost you in licensing fees. There is a company behind the development of Gravity Forms, not an independent developer who could abandon the project at any time. The licensing costs help ensure the continued development of the plugin, as well as support and various add-ons. For example, Gravity Forms can integrate with FreshBooks and MailChimp, and a PayPal add-on will be available soon.

Gravity Forms is very easy to use, providing a drag-and-drop interface and pop-up help menus at every step of the way. It provides a variety of advanced options, such as conditional processing. It stores all of your form entries in WordPress instead of just emailing you the results.
